Day 31
Today, we went to 2 famous place is Fuzhou city, "左海公园" and "西湖". We played in the amusement park (this is my 2nd time in my whole life that I had been at a amusement park) at 左海公园, and ride boats. Then we walked along a long bridge to 西湖. We saw some ancient houses and gardens. The lake there was BEAUTIFUL, you can actually see through the green, blue water. We had a lot of fun that day.

Day 32
Here comes... 5 more days til the end of our trip. We went to the supermarket in the morning and finished our HWs. It rained (again) in the afternoon, so we helped around my aunt's house.

Day 33
THUNDER STORM!!!!! We were unable to go out or buy things.

Day 34
"清明节" is actually like Halloween. But, we don't go around the houses and ask for candies, it's a day where you have to see your ancestors' grave and burn money for them and pray. The actual day is actually on April 05, but we wanted to do it earlier. We had to put a kind of yellow paper with weird words on it in the highest pocket of your clothing to prevent from ghost going into our body. I don't believe in these things. We went to our grandfather's grave. The mountain that where most of the graves are located actually have SNAKES and rats. We didn't encounter any but, I did got cut buy one of the plant while we were running away from the rain. It was bleeding so much. 2 more days til the end of trip.

Day 35
The rain finally stopped. We bought our plane ticket for from Fuzhou to Shanghai, and went to the supermarket to buy things. In the evening we started gathering our things together and get ready for the packing.

Day 36
For some reason I think the rain just hates us a lot, today is our last day here and this is what it's doing to us? Anyways, we went back to our old house to check if everything were okay and went back. We packed our baggages and cleaned the room. At night we went out to play around the street.

Day 37
It's raining hard today. We took our bagages and went off to the airport. For our first plane, from Fuzhou to Shanghai, we had to walk to the airplane from the airport building becuz apparently the connector (I called it the connector because it's a tunnel where they connect the plane's door way to the airport so people can walk through the tunnel and get onto the airplane)is not connected. So we had to run in the rain to get there. After a day, we came back, to Canada.

After...
We arrived at the Toronto airport the next day in the morning, and got settled at around 3:30 a.m. In the afternoon we went to school.
The first period I have in the afternoon was gym. WE WERE HAVING A FITNESS TEST! I was running like CRAZY! and doing push ups/sit ups, etc... I just came back this morning and afternoon here = nighttime or early morning in China. When I got home from school, I went to sleep right away becuz I didn't sleep for a day.

Day 21
We continued our work at out old house. Instead of throwing out these soils (cuz it takes more time and efforts to get them down the house and carry them to the garbage place), we made separate small gardens on the roof. That's basically what we did for the whole day and returned to the city at night.

Day 22
We continued from what we did yesterday.
Fact: Every time when my bro and I go to the supermarket, we usually spent about 70 yen to 90 and bring home 2 bags of goods, it actually only cost about $11 CAN. ITSN'T THAT CHEAP!

Day 23
Today, we called people in and fill in the cracks on the roof and in the rooms. We paid approx. 2000 yen on all the work that everyone made and the materials for fillings. We finally accomplish the construction.

Day 24
It started to rain again. We stayed home until night. Nighttime is the best time to go out, to have fun, and buy cheap stuff. I bought 2 sweater for 35 yen ($5 CAN), my bro and my dad brought 2 running shoes for 564 yen ($94 CAN).

Day 25
Again, we went back to our old house. But this time we were cleaning the house cuz no one had been living in there for 2 years. We all got bubbles on our hands and we barely can walk after the cleanup becuz we have to carry water from lakes down in the street and swipe the whole house. We also have to stack bricks so certain part of the house won't break down. After we finish, we returned to the city.

Day 26
We were playing outside for almost the whole day with my dad's friend and some other random people.
Fact: The bus fare in Fuzhou only cost 1 yen (16 cents)per person, but if 2 people who have a height of under or 1.4m, they pay 1 yen, 3 people under or 1.4m you pay 2 yen, and so on. They don't charge you by your age, they charge you by height. That goes the same for other things.

Day 27
It rained, hard.
Fact: In Fuzhou, if you want to go somewhere, there are other transportation methods, like you can get on a motorcycle for I think 3 or 4 yen, or a tricycle for 5 yen, a 4 wheel-ed motorcycle that can carry 4 people for 5 yen, high class bus for 2 yen per person, or cars and taxis. What I am trying to say is that You don't have to wait for the bus to go somewhere (usually take 10 mins for one to come), you can go on any of these thing that I said just now, also you can see them EVERYWHERE*.

Day 28
It's shopping day!

Day 29
Another shopping day C:

Day 30
We went back to the town and pried at a temple.
Fact: I am running out facts...

Day 12
We didn't do anything special today. At night there was suppose to be an earthquake at midnight, but it didn't happen.
Since I didn't do anything special today, I will be writing some facts about Fuzhou
(clothing, price, etc.)
Fact: The people here dress differently, female usually wear a long sweater or a dress with long boots, and male dress like the people that you usually see in the magazines.
They're like rich people, unlike in Canada, we just wear whatever that is comfortable (fashionable as well but not like the people in China). These people know what kind of person you are and where you're from just by looking at your clothes *scary*.

Day 13
The temperature starts to recover, it was about 17 degrees. We went to the Southern Mountain park again.

Day 14
It was raining again, so we stayed at home and did our HWs.
Fact: In our area, most water were polluted, we can't use them for drinking, or cooking. Only used for washing clothes, etc. What most of the families did was they get fresh water from Southern Mountain Park. So once is a week, they would go up the mountain with bottles and buckets, and then get the water from all the way up there to their house. I went with my aunt once and it was tiring. It took us 2 hours to get up the mountain and then down the mountain with 6lb of water in our hands. My aunt and my dad carried like 12lb of water on their shoulders. When we got home, our hands was red and our shoulders were aching. Well, at least we know how difficult for people to get water and how important water is.

Day 15
Today, we went to the zoo of Fuzhou. We took a 2h ride to get up there. The tickets were really cheap, for me and my dad, it was 30 yen for each ($5 CAN), and 15 yen for my brother (about $2 CAN). We saw a bunch of animals, We watched performance of different animals, our fav one was the performance of a seal. When we got to the money mountain (where you can see moneys), it started raining randomly, so we didn't see all the cute moneys. The only thing that I hate about this zoo is that, we have to walk many miles to see just one kind of animal, the zoo was huge, that's why they separated them all. If you want to see different types of birds, you have to walk all the way to the top of the mountain to see them. It took us the whole day to see all the animals. Overall, we enjoyed it and we had fun.

Day 16
In the morning we went to a temple today and pried our god. Then we went to meet some of our family members and my dad's friends. (what a boring day -.-)

Day 17
This day, we went down to our old house and start fixing the cracks on the room walls and the roof. Before doing these things, we had to remove the garden on the roof level(yes, we have a roof level in our old house, well mostly all the people has one in the town. You can do gardening and other random things on the roof). My brother and I took care of shoveling soils and piled them up at a corner. We spent our whole day up on the roof. It was not fun.

Day 18
We continued from what we did yesterday.
Fact: In Fuzhou, most of the families used motorcycles/bicycles as their transportation. Not a lot of cars. There were no traffic lights, cars, motorcycles, and bikes drive randomly, and people just cross in the middle of the street.

Day 19
We bought a baby white rabbit with a cage and 2 bags of food for 25 yen (about $4 CAN). We named him White cuz... he's white and it's a cute name.

Day 20
WHITE DIED!!!! We were tricked by these people that sells animals. White was already sick when we got him, we didn't even stay with him for 24 hrs, and it died. We even went out to get grass just for him and after we came back... We got over with it after.

Separated by days (in total of 37 days)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 1
That morning, we woke up at 4 a.m and headed to the the airport. First flight, from Toronto to New York. It was a 2hrs flight. After, we transferred to the next flight, 15hrs to Shanghai.

Day 2
On the plane, each of the passengers have a mini T.V/computer in front of their seat where they can watch movies, play games, listen to musics, and TALK ON THE PHONE with the remote (but you need a phone card in order to phone). I listened to my own music to whole time cuz the mini computer = have nothing that interests me, except the page where they show the plane's states. My bro and I didn't even sleep for a bit cuz it's just impossible for us to sleep in a plane. Between the hours of 6 to 9, the plane was flying over the North Pole. The temperature in the plane started to decrease and everyone was getting a cold. My brother got a clod from it, luckily, I sat in the middle seat. We also saw the sun rise over the North pole. Finally, we got to Shanghai! When I came out, I can't even walk properly, think about it, 15hrs on the plane without moving. We were going to buy the plane ticket to Fuzhou, our home city, but the seats were mostly full and it was extremely expensive. So we decided to stay in Shanghai for an night and move the next day. On our way to the hotel, we were on the bus for 3 hrs with no sitting and crowded people. We took a shower, went out for dinner, and slept.

Day 3
On the next day, we woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning, and went out. We bought our plane tickets and decided to explore Shanghai. We went to "东方明珠", The Oriental Pearl Tower, it is 468m high, it has three balls, one of them's floor and wall is made out of glass, so you will feel like you're gonna fall down or something, but it didn't get me cuz I am not scared of that kind of stuff. To get up to the balls, you need to go on the elevator. The elevator is 7m per a second. You have to keep swallow saliva, or else you would feel a pressure in your ear and you won't be able to hear after (until after a long time), and this goes the same to the plane when it's landing. We went to other places as well but it was foggy outside so we didn't really enjoyed it. Overall, we spent about $3500 in Shanghai(taxis, the ticket for going up the Oriental Pearl Tower, plane tickets, etc.) In the evening we departed and land at our destination at 11:00 p.m.

Day 4
After a long, long deep sleep, the first thing we did was to the supermarket (well of course I had to wash myself, eat and that before I go out) The supermarket was HUGE, it's like bigger than Walmart. When you see the goods' price you might think that it's expensive, but they're actually really cheap compared to CAN, for every dollar in China, you have to divide it by 6 to change it into CAN. So if a large ice cream cost 1.5 yen (it's TRUE!), it would be 25 cents in CAN, ISN'T THAT CHEAP!!!!

Day 5
We went to a new place that was build few years ago, it's called "长山湖", I am not sure what it is in Eng, but I guess you can call it "Long Mountain Lake". This place is like a famous place in Fuzhou, it's a place where most politicians work, and where the famous Walmart is (yes we have Walmart in China now). But like I said, even though it's Walmart, it's actually really different from Canada's, it has A LOT varieties of things that we don't even see on the market in Canada.

Day 6
The weather was warm. We went to the park that we used to play when we were small. "南山公园", Southern Mountain park. The park have developed much better that we'd thought of. We walked all the way up to the top of the mountain (about an hour to get up there), The view was extremely* beautiful, we played with the exercise section at the top, and went to look at the first swimming pool built in our area. Trust me, the swimming pool was wayyyyyyy huger than we have in Canada, it feels like that you're in ...an Olympic swimming pool. We didn't swim cuz was not summer yet. We mostly spent our day up there.

Day 7
We stayed at home the whole day cuz it was raining hard outside.

Day 8
FREEZING!! for some reason, the rain did not stop from yesterday's and temperature starts to drop rapidly. The lowest was 3 degrees and the highest was 5 degrees. Then we noticed that we didn't have enough clothing to keep us warm (no heater in China unless you go and buy these little heater thing that you use to carry with you). So we went out, with my aunt and umbrellas in our hands to buy clothes. We spent almost a full day out there.

Day 9
The weather turned worse today. Each of us wore like 5 layers of clothes, we had to close all the windows and doors. We didn't do a thing, but we did manage to do some of our HWs that were assigned from school. We were also trying to get our laptop working becuz the plug doesn't match the outlet in China, and Internet was one of problems. At the end we didn't manage to use our laptop.

Day 10
FINALLY! The rain has stopped, but the freezingness was still there. We went to our old house that we haven't visit for 4 years, it is located at a old town, just like downtown. There, we found a lot of problems. The water pipes were not working becuz something's blocking the pathway, and some of the rooms are starting collapse and so as the roof on the top. I felt like crying when I see this becuz this is the place where I use to grow up, and the place turned into... THIS! We decided to fix it.

Day 11
The temperature was the same as yesterday's, cold. We went to the Southern Mountain park again for morning exercising.
